A Ball State student comments on the 12-year-old who figured out how to get around Texas Instruments’ purposeful disabling of one of their calculator’s features (link via Daily Education News). If I hadn’t been able to manipulate the functions of my TI graphing calculator in high school, Calculus would have been much tougher.
