Iraqi Election Results

CNN reports that Iraqis have announced unofficial results from the election, with the United Iraqi Alliance taking the most seats. Here is a brief summary of the breakdown for the 275-seat Council of Representatives:

128 – United Iraqi Alliance (Shiite)
55 – Two Sunni parties
53 – Kurdish bloc
25 – Ayad Allawi’s party (former interim prime minister)
14 – Other parties
